What’s Next for P:F?
We only have four more weeks of our study of The Blazing Center… What happens next is up to you!
Got a book recommendation or topic idea? Let us know! We’ve been doing DVD studies, which work well, but we’re definitely open to other suggestions! We’re looking for a shorter 5-6 week study this time to finish out the summer.
Post your suggestions and ideas as a comment on this post (BELOW).

I’m thinking that we could do the Respectable Sins book that Lindsay has mentioned in the fall. That one will take 10-12 weeks, so there isn’t really time for that now.
Anybody else have any ideas or thoughts?

I agree on the shorter study, so our college friends can finish out the study before leaving (maybe it can culminate at The Great College Send-Off BBQ).
Maybe we can watch a few Nooma videos, if everyone isn’t sick of Rob Bell and the Mars Hill crew. I don’t want it to seem like we are all about him, but they are nice and short, and I think would lead to a good discussion.
Any other thoughts?

I have no idea what has been done as far as the DVD lessons but the one called In the Dust of the Rabbi. This guy takes a group over to the middle east and the historical sites. It is very informative about parts in the bible and it brought a new light to many things.

Also Joel, I love the Nooma videos.

Hey everyone,
I came across a study by Andy Stanley called “Go Fish”. It is a six week series on the motivation behind sharing our faith. I know there is a DVD that goes along with it as well. Here is the Amazon link:

I don’t know very much about Andy Stanley, but it seems as if every week our discussion comes around to witnessing to others and sharing our faith. Anyways, just a suggestion…
I also wanted to thank you all for welcoming me (and my brothers) into your group. It has been a really fun time, and so awesome to be with you all as my sisters and brothers in Christ… to paraphrase John Piper, nothing makes me happier than to spend my Thursday evenings with you all.
Thanks!
